Learning Objectives

After attending this program, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate the roles and limitations of diagnostic tools for detection of ovarian cancer and for predicting response to treatment regimens
  • Define the prognostic implications of residual disease following surgery
  • Recognize the importance of genetic testing to guide management
  • Determine the role of available treatment options, including PARP inhibitors, for the treatment of ovarian cancer
  • Recognize and address psychological distress after cancer diagnosis/treatment and refer to appropriate resources

Objectifs de notre programme

Après avoir participé à ce programme, les participants pourront :

  • Évaluer les rôles et les limites des outils diagnostiques pour le dépistage du cancer de l’ovaire et la prédiction de la réponse aux schémas thérapeutiques
  • Définir les implications pronostiques de la maladie résiduelle après la chirurgie
  • Reconnaître l’importance des tests génétiques pour orienter la prise en charge
  • Déterminer le rôle des options de traitement disponibles, y compris les inhibiteurs de la PARP, pour le traitement du cancer de l’ovaire
  • Reconnaître et traiter la détresse psychologique après le diagnostic/traitement du cancer et orienter vers les ressources appropriées
